I can't deside either..
I think that image gallery would be great. But a CMS would be really awesome too.. so .. :P

Not project tools anyways.

I can guarantee you a CMS is a bad idea, it is a sure failure because it is so big and could take as long as a year (yes, a year) to complete. I went through this before.

I think an AJAX based photo gallery that you could put into any HTML page would be pretty awesome...

I'mage gallery.

It'll be really simple to complete a usable base system, and provides more than enough opportunity for expansion. If everybody committed now is still committed in a year, you could easily go from a very rudimentary system to a very feature rich expandable megalithic structure.
