I guess we could symlink or make a virtual folder on the talkphp domain, eg. dev.talkphp.com that actually maps to the server

Because most of out clients will probably be using a shared server. Working in a limited environment would be of benefit because there is a lesser chance we will have something that most server do not offer.

Unimportant since we will most likely be releasing it on talkphp.

Portals, Frameworks, CMS's ect. are general boring and they are being "over developed" (if that term even exists), something that's still a few of or atleast a few good ones of would be the right way to go.

We really need to get a move on with this so we can get a project plan out. Even if we do an image gallery, my list is just a preliminary to our actual plan. If I was to have matters in my hands, I would say we should go with the image gallery. But, I didn't take the leader position so I don't presume to have matters in my own hands. To my original point, We need to pick a project soon.

No of course not, if the leaders would choose a barby fansite nobody (well not me at the least) would like the project.
Of course that was a lame example, but you get the point.

I'm sure they have the competency to pick a good choice. A vote will take days.

I have a model I've been working on that breaks out of restrictive usergroups and is much more flexible - it also 'masks' a user depending on their rights to show them as an administrator or another rank. It's relatively simple to implement and I'd be glad to use it in this project.

After looking over the votes in the poll, then it seems like its the only one people wants to start off with.
Lets do it!
