Official Announcement

as i said i looked, at the votes and heard what the team wants and i think that if the Dev-team is happy then so will the project be and also the code will be better when we all are happy and no one is holding any grudges so with this i here by rule the vote to be official over and we will now set up an vBulletin Project Tools.

How it will be done or who will buy or give us a license is still at this point unclear i hope we all become a great team and the project will be as good as i hope even better!

Those who offer to buy or give your already bought license can

Looks confusing

codefreek 07-02-2008 05:07 PM

is that better? :)

Seraskier 07-02-2008 06:03 PM

i was going to make a simple thing like vbulletin project tools
itll be beneficial to me, but ill do it anyway just to do it ^_^

also, codefreek, i think your doing a great job. but do you tihnk you can slow down a bit. its like every time i come on the forum theres a new update or something new about the project.

i feel like this is something we are all doing in our free time for shits and giggles, we have no deadline; if we rush here, itll look like we did later.
Plus this is a great way for the talkphp community to work on something together.

What we need to do is get on our own irc and talk about anything and everything, from the domain and name to the footers.

Im working on the ftp ports right now, ftp doesnt like using any other ports other than 20 and 21...help, anyone?
I think im going to disable IIS, and use apache...maybe, im going to look into it but ill let you know what im going to do.

I also got an idea to move the php.ini into a virtual directory and make it editable to everyone who has the access, so if someone needs to edit something, then just edit it, thoughts?

Hi Serk,

I think the decision behind Project tools was its availability to already be hosted here and completed integrated with vbulletin. I know thats why I was hoping for it.

I havn't heard any updates on it though... so I am not sure where it is headed.

codefreek 07-02-2008 07:35 PM

drewbee, i talked to Kalle, and wildhoney but they haven't given me any answer
+ i don't even know who will buy or lone the license that we are going to use
so by all means ask around if you want..

Village Idiot 07-02-2008 08:16 PM

We should move forward to other topics in the meantime. Lets decide what we are going to build and start getting the project plan together.

codefreek 07-02-2008 09:31 PM

good idea, Village Idiot. thats why the planning page was posted by me.
so we can talk about things so if it's not a hazel head over there and start talking ;)
