Village Idiot:
Connect to an irc channel:
/server <server> /server irc.freenode.org
To join a channel
/join <[#]channel> (eg. /join #libgd)
And personally I would prefer not to go with the google stuff, its all fancy yea but I think it would be better to locate it at talkphp itself as a central point.
And I vote for CVS as versioning, its simple and all that and theres nearly nothing to it

I along with a few others will have the IRC channel running all the time now.
Are you guys interested in Vbulletin Projects then?

SVN is more or less identical to CVS but better and faster, for one you don't need to specify what type of data the file contains i.e. having to specify a binary or text file when adding images and source files to the repository
and most importantly, the atomic commits, CVS has a horrendus trait of letting large chunks of commits succeed when there are errors which leads to half a set of files commited and half not = big mess.

If wildhoney can offer to host the project on this server, we then should accept that. Reason being that we will be making an open source script, not a custom solution. Many of our users will not have control of their server so we can't have too many different things on it. A limited environment may actually be of advantage in our case, it also means we don't have to manage the server ourselves
one less problem for us.
Edit:
Think big start small!

Yea, but.. you were the one putting together that list, so..
And no, you can't have read it, cause...

Also, you should (obviously) deside what to do. A gallery, a project manager, or CMS, or w.e you want. And then also compile a list of possible features.
These are just some suggestions that I could think of right now.
I'd be more than happy to help out with coding! I have a summerbreak so.. ^_^

Kalle, thats even better if you have Projects. Saves me 60 bucks :D I say lets get together with Wild to get it installed on the server. (Provided you are sure you no longer need it).

The Vote is leaning towards choosing vBulletin Project Tools
We will co-hear other wises and make a decision as soon as everyone has voted
As a head manager it is also my duty to pleas the workers on the Dev-Team and also think of what is good for the team project.
I will Talk to the pepole offering to buy or already have
vBulletin Project Tools when i feel that there will not be more people voting or the fact that i can see that, if some one would vote they would not win, so with this is ask the staff to please make your vote fast.

I vote for pencil and paper. It's environmentally sound (we have enough trees, don't we?) and backups are a cinch.
