Although all stuff I read looked quite good according your framework, I didnt download, and won't use it because of the licensing.

Don't get me wrong, I fully understand your point for making it only available for non-commercial use, but I dont see an purpose of using your's instead of any other - which I can use for commercial Projects (and dont have to pay or similar).

Now, I dont want to sound bitchy - just want to focuse out the reason of not using it, so that you can think about...

@Enfernikus: what about the licensing? The license I'm currently using it's a Creative Commons. And it will remain that way for the community edition (that's the only one available atm, anyway). The point is I invested alot of time in this product so it would be available for home users, who just want to create their own free projects, at the same time being available for commercial purposes, but under a contract. That's the natural way: if you make money using my product, you must pay for that product.
If it'll be available commercially than explain to me the advantages of paying for it over let's say...Kohana or Zend. Will you provide Code Support? Release premium libraries? Would I get Framework updates before the community or could my features request receive higher importance than the community.

I'm all for paying for a product that'll make my life easier but I need a reason to pay for it other than it's a good framework. I don't mean to sound like a dick but other frameworks are good as well and have an immense community.

We will be offering support for developing using our platform to the ones who really want to buy the piece (I'm talking about companies mostly), including training to the people in that company. After that, of course, premium libraries will be made available through time. We'll have a couple of software products that we'll release, based on our platform. Full support will be guaranteed for development.

Well guys, I've put alot of thought in this, and I've changed the licensing system to allow commercial works, as well.

Enjoy :)

The next project I have I'm using your framework :) All my work is NDA but I'll link you privately so you can see what things your framework can be used for. Oh, and do you take user contributions?

What does attribution involve? Would that require me to say leave a visible link on my site?

Seems quite nice, Good job (from first glance anyway)

One thing though, the tar.gz for download seems to be or corrupt.
Edit: Its the beta download sorry.
Edit2: Its started working now .. sigh

Edit3: and it stop again, im assuming your either working on it or the server is having a laugh with me

Anyway, I'll have a proper look later.

Hmm the archive really is corrupt...I'll fix it as soon as I get home. Thanks for that.

@ETbyrne: no need to add a banner or anything..keeping the comments in the source code is enough...if you do want to link to my website, I'll provide a "powered by" 88x31 banner.

You should say that on the license page to avoid deterring anyone who thinks you mean a visible link.

Thank you ETbyrne, you've been very helpful. I followed your advice and added a line in the license:

Now about that tar gz problem...it seems like once I upload the file through FTP (the .tar.gz locally created one), it becomes corrupt...the permissions are 755 on the download dir and 644 for the files. With the zip doesn't seem to have any problem though :( How come?

Try downloading the file with FTP. It could be some sort of issue like it is trying to gzip it again or something when you try to download it in your browser.

It's a far shot but worth a try!

That was it man! I remembered I had gzip compression turned on on all content...works fine now!

Is the method called "RandomMethodAction" in the controller source file or just "RandomMethod"? You might want to check that
