Default PHP Scripts

Here's two of my PHP scripts I've been developing.

Image Convert:
ImageConvert is a simple PHP-based image uploader which allows you to upload and resize images.

PHP CMS
A small PHP CMS I've been developing. You can login with: 'Admin' and 'pass'
http://csscoder.net/PHP_CMS/

Both have a mySQL backend.

Any comments/feedback, thanks.

I would definitely like to see more functions in the CMS.

Cool, I like the image upload. The CMS is nice but soooo incredibly basic, make it so you can do other kinds of things but the basic idea is there. :D

Hello Daz,

Your image uploader script looks good. Although your cms script does not seem much like a cms script since it just posts and displaies data from a dbase. It looks more like a news posting system. I would suggest adding the ability to post images and change font etc on the site. well just my two cents

Nice image upload script. The next step is to create an image upload site that uses solely Javascript and PHP to upload images, without reloading the page. I did it on Pture.com (The script I sold, however - still my domain, thankfully :)). A challenge and a half, I tell thee! I learned a few new things - predominantly that IE is a pain in the arse - such as its form enctypes and dynamic naming of elements.

Sorry if this is off topic, but Wildhoney, from my experience, I was always to believe that you couldn't upload files without a refresh, or am I mistaken, and that's only for AJAX?

and yeah, IE is lame, I wish it would die... too harsh?

Thanks for the comments.

Yeah, the CMS is pretty simple. I've been developing v2 which includes a lot of new features such as user registration, edit and deleting your posts, bbcode etc.. Although, it will never be as good as Wordpress or any popular CMS, it's all about the learning experience :p

Wildhoney: Unfortunately, I don't know Javascript :( Thanks anyway.

Default good work!

Not at all, if anything not harsh enough :D, IE is the bain of my life, anything that looks perfect in any other "sane" browser will not work in IE so you have to put ugly CSS hacks all over the place, its a complete nightmare why in the name of all things holy they cant actually make a browser that actually works is beyond me, although most of the microsoft products i have used i could say the same thing.

And i believe its possible to use AJAX to upload a file without reloading the page, ive read about it somewhere but cant remember tho if im honest.

anyway back to the topic, good work m8 seems like its a nice CMS, albeit a bit basic but hey most things that are basic work better than most complex systems i've seen, just depends on each project.
Also the image uploader is ace, keep up the good work
