[mentor needed] - This place still in use ??
 

Long story, was in "IT" for about 10 years, various projects mainly Linux based, mysql/perl/bash/cgi type stuff lots of HTML, mainly to manage/monitor servers/routers..

Anyway for various reasons left IT behind 4 years ago, and am now looking to "re-launch" myself, so am looking to get deeper into PHP/XML/mysql, dusting off old books and reading new ones, just looking for someone to help keep me on the right track really.

I have a few projects of my own on the go, may have gone too deep too quick, but am slowly getting there..

What exactly are you working on right now?
What experience do you have and what have you done in the name of php?
PHP is growing everyday, version 5.4 is also quite amazing, so that leads to the next question. What versions of PHP have you worked with?
