I'm new!!

Hello guys!

Just found this site yesterday. It looks very very new but I can say it is one of the most well themed forums out there.

As a web developer, I can quickly tell the difference between just a regular forum and one that someone has put time into colors and design, this looks spectacular!!!

Thank you :-) I wouldn't change the design for anything in the world! I love it. It is all nicely custom made and so that's what makes us stand out from the crowd. That and the fabulous community we have :-) !

Welcome to TalkPHP, my friend.

Is this designed for 800x600?

Wildhoney 02-25-2009 07:12 PM

No, it isn't. Originally it was but I widened the site because I think many people use 1024x768 these days, and 800x600 is just too small to contain all the information nicely.

Ok gotchya.

I guess it looks like 800x600 on my 1080p monitor...

I agree with you, I usually design sites with 1024x768 in mind, I don't go any lower. Back in the days I had to deal with 800x600 and thank god those days are over.....

I guess we are "sensitive" to those with lower resolutions because I know of websites that don't even bother with 1024x768!!!

How come hello-world got a thanks and not me? :-( Such injustice! It is a beautiful community. We may be small in comparison to so many forums, but this way it feels like one big family! And everybody is welcome!

:-P

I'm not sure what the Thanks button is for, I've never seen it before. I just noticed it earlier today....

BTW, what kind of picture is that in your avatar?

a little girl holding a dead doll??

Wildhoney 02-26-2009 02:21 AM

Well, you don't need to know what it is for, just click the "Thanks!" button under my name a little bit more :-) Hehe!

Yes, something like that. Although to me it is more about the curiosity of children than a dead doll. They're always ever so curious. Picking up items and trying to discover their function and purpose.
