Hello --> All

Hi everyone from the sunny city of Miami, Florida 8-)
I am a 100% newbie to PHP/MySql, but want to learn as much as possible. Currently trying to build a news aggregation site, to test the water.
Background mostly MS technology (C++, C#, SQL Server), some Java, some Oracle and Javascript. I guess a bit of everything.

I am happy to have found such a great community of php developers and look forward to learn from all of you guys.

Welcome.

Although C++ is not a MS technology, it will make PHP a ton easier to learn. They use basically the same syntax.
