I've lurked for a week or so, and I decided to join.
This looks like a nice little community and I'm glad to be a part of it.
I've been coding PHP for almost 2 years, but I'm no guru and have a hell of a lot to learn. I suppose alot of my coding is self-taught without any proper programming theory to inform it. I'm keen to share what I've learned and learn more here.
I also have been programming in ruby a bit with a couple of successful rails sites under my belt. I generally use postgresql and I am interested in it's capabilities and how I can use it to a greater degree.
I have an Advanced Diploma in fine art, majoring in oil painting and I love typography and design. I get much enjoyment from semantic, valid markup and beautiful css.
Welcome. Right now I'm not such in a good mood, so..
