Hi webtuto, welcome to TalkPHP :)
I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to work on your project with you directly but if you have any questions / problems, please feel free to post them here and I will certainly try and help.
Alan.

I think the whole idea is to ask a lot of questions ;)
Like alan said, if you have any questions, go ahead and post a thread.
And welcome :)

Don't worry about that, just post away in the proper forums when you have a question. If we didn't like answering them, none of us would be here :D

a news script was my first 'solo' php project, I think it's great place to start because it's something you'll actually want to use, and, eventually, just about every site you'll do will need a news script.
the news script i wrote 7 years ago looks nothing like the one i have today, but, everything starts somewhere ;)

A simple news script is as good as any to learn :)
I would recommend posting your questions in this forum: Absolute Beginners - TalkPHP
They'll probably get noticed more than in your introduction thread :)

I remember I used to bother Karl a lot with many questions. In the end I could sense he was at a dead-end with me so I decided to install PERL. For some reason I could get my head around PERL much more than I could with PHP. Maybe because I found the BEST tutorial ever for PERL and it just made it such fun to learn. All the PHP ones I found were so banal it didn't interest me, and so I'd skip sections and then wonder why I couldn't do something.
Still! Welcome to the community, and I hope you learn a lot. As others have pointed out, questions are the key to knowledge!

Hey webuto welcome to TalkPHP. You can create new threads instead of asking all your questions in here, we don't charge
