Hey all, just sayin hello. I been takin the plundge into php lately and have been lookin for a good php forum so hopefully this is the one.

a little about myself...

got a good programming background C++, Java, Python, Lisp, Scheme, Actionscript, SQL, Assembly and then all your basic web languages, css, xml, html, coldfusion...

Reason im jumpin into php,
workin on finishing up my site www.osguide.net and would like to add a lot more user interaction and dynamic content.

Welcome to the community, Cory! Quite a nice looking site that OSGuide. What sort of user interaction did you have in mind? User commenting, I'd imagine is one.

ye user comments some user settings like to list the software by downloads, age... and store that in the users session rather then having to select it every time they get on. maybe some more features like ive seen on many other sites around. havent completely decided which ones. also eventually gonna remove the wordpress and get phpbb to act something like a blog, cms, forum.. so i have it all in one.

ye quite a few languages.. seems like they will never stop.
