Hey,

My name is Sam, just thought id introduce myself :)

I am a free lance web developer / programmer, i have been looking for a good PHP community site for a while, after trying a few i wasnt impressed with peoples attitudes (I.E. attitudes to "noobs" or people just starting out, we all have to start somewhere), this site on the other hand seems different :)

I love expanding myown knowledge in PHP and helping others do the same.
I mainly develop in PHP5 (PHP4's OOP is far too limited tbh) but i have developed in other languages like C/C++ etc etc.

Hey hey Sam! I know what you mean about the attitudes of many communities. It irritates me as well. When I was starting out, I'd pop into IRC and the reaction I got was unbelievable. It wasn't as if I was asking silly questions or not been doing my research! Just genuine questions to problems every so-called "noob" would have.
