I hang out on http://www.talkfreelance.com/, I've been active there since 2006. I've been on http://www.forrst.com a lot lately as well. Other than that I occasionally go on http://www.gamedev.net and http://community.wizards.com/go/foru...ons_38_Dragons

VI, you should send me an invite for Forrst, but only if it doesn't affect your rep there; I'd like to check it out, but I'm not very good at keeping on top of participating a lot of places anymore. Trying to keep up with all my RSS feeds alone can take an entire day every week if I let it. :) If it's as good as it sounds though, it could be well worth the effort.

On topic though, I think I follow about 12 of the core team members for WordPress because I work with that more than any other CMS or Framework at this point, 3 WP dev sites, WP Trac, and then another 6 WP news sites. Then there's about a dozen design/development sites, such as Design Shack, Elated, Noupe, Smashing, Speckyboy, a small handful of jQuery sites, Matt Cutts and a couple Google sites, Lifehacker, A List Apart, and Webmonkey... I've stopped trying to be an active member in a lot of forums because I always get overactive for a week or two, then drop off for a month. With PHP, I hang out here obviously, and phpfreaks, though I don't post much there, just read interesting threads.

I think I tweet more than I post. It's a great place if you develop a good list of people who are active in the same industry as yourself, which isn't really hard considering.

I don't have any invites, I registered a few days short to get the ones this month. Just apply on the site, thats how I got on.

What, and have to fill in all those form fields?

The things I gotta do...

Edit: That was pretty quick actually. Nice little community.
