What kind of football game?

webtuto 06-22-2009 07:05 PM

its a browser based football game
ppl choose the team ...

adamdecaf 06-22-2009 07:38 PM

Well, you should look into real time PUSH'ing of data.

http://www.ape-project.org <-- Sample JS Push Framework...

webtuto 06-22-2009 11:50 PM

thanks adam ,
but how that framework can be useful for this project ??
i use jQuery !

adamdecaf 06-23-2009 12:33 AM

The ape project is just a framework that is used for pushing and updating multiple clients via JS. (You will need that for a multi-player soccer game.)

Hightower 06-23-2009 07:23 AM

I have a football project I need to get started - was hoping yours would be similar but it isn't. Sorry.

webtuto 06-23-2009 07:33 AM

@adam : thanks for this framework

@hightower : what is ur project about ?

Hightower 06-23-2009 10:03 AM

My project is for amateur footballers (Sunday League sides) to give them an easy to update, yet feature rich website. Similar to web-teams (http://www.webteams.co.uk/) but with more features, and free.

webtuto 06-23-2009 05:54 PM

@hightower : u mean u gona give football amateurs a free service to make t heir own website for their favorite team ?

Hightower 06-23-2009 07:08 PM

No no, check out the web teams link. It's gonna be a free service that allows Sunday League Football Clubs to easily create and update a website.

webtuto 06-23-2009 11:12 PM

well its kinda the same thing that i said ^^
anyway its much different than my idea ^^
u dont like my idea?

Hightower 06-24-2009 07:31 AM

I like your idea, but don't have time to invest in it at the moment.

webtuto 06-24-2009 08:23 AM

no problem ^^

Village Idiot 06-24-2009 08:52 PM

If you are looking for a partner, you should explain what the person will need to be able to do, how much time they will be expected to put into this and other terms of the contract. What you have now probably is not going to find anyone.

webtuto 06-24-2009 11:27 PM

@Village Idiot : im just looking for a meduim php programmer , he douesnt need to be profesional
someone ambitious to make a good website ^^

Well, are you looking for someone in your timezone?
Are you able to pay the person or is it volunteer work?
Is this going to turn into a business, open source, community?
Do you have a fairly developed plan or are you starting from scratch?
What and how much time would you be willing to put in?
What and how much time would you expect from your partner?
Are you looking for any level of education and/or experience?

ect...

You really should get some questions like this formatted. Then I would suggest reposting and deleting this thread.

webtuto 06-24-2009 11:43 PM

@adamdecaf : thanks , i have EDITED the thread ,you can see my answers

adamdecaf 06-24-2009 11:46 PM
