web software for Mac

Salathe, or anyone else who has Mac...

What is a good software to use for coding? I just did a quick search and found:

Textmate, Smultron, BBEdit...etc...

Thoughts? Suggestions?

zend studio

It entirely depends on what you're looking for in the software. Personally, I can't stand Zend Studio, Aptana Studio and such like, preferring the "simple editors" like TextMate and Coda. But don't use those just because I do! If you're used to an IDE, they might seem a significant step backwards.

I actually tried to use Aptana and couldn't get the hang of it so I uninstalled it.

Perhaps I'm not advanced enough to use IDE's, but I haven't really found a good use for them just yet....

I just downloaded Coda demo so trying that out now...

Thanks!

Althouh I worked with Aptana for an while, I started to work with Eclipse. And I never regret it.

It should run under a Mac to.

When I do a search on Eclipse, I get some confusing results.

Is Eclipse a stand alone app? Independant company?

What is Zend Studio for Eclipse?

Did ZS buy Eclipse?

Not really either.

No, eclipse is an open source development platform. Zend made a glorified plugin for it.

http://www.eclipse.org

I'd use VIM or emacs, but thats just me.

Thanks Sketch...

I'm just gonna stick with Dreamweaver...

I keep looking at other possible apps for development but I always go back to DW....
