Default my new mac!!

Well I bit the bullet and bought a Mac. Thanks to Salathe for suggesting the Synergy program. I have the Mac as the server with my Vista(x64) as client.

It works great!!!

Below is my setup for anyone that cares...

I LOVE synergy, I use it at work to go between my Mac and Windows machines. Are you using SynergyKM?

No, I'm new to all this so I'm not sure what the difference between
Synergy and SynergyKM is?

There is a bug though, I use my Mac as the server, and I can't get it to run as a Daemon, I found people had this issue too...

So the only way is to just run it in terminal with the -f option and push it off to the side...

However, I think it causes my Mac to freeze because it froze twice so far when both Vista and Mac go to sleep...upon waking up the Mac, the mouse will still work but everything else is frozen...

So I would have to hard reboot the Mac...I turned off Synergy just to test things out, let the Mac go to sleep, bring it back and it didn't freeze...

Have you had any issues or tips?

Nice setup, looks like you are doing some heavy duty work....

SynergyKM is a app that will handle all of the synergy stuff on your mac. Install, set up using the gui, and enable (can even add a synergy icon in your taskbar)

Not that heavy, just some JSP error fixing for one of our newspaper sites (believe it was a small bug in LATimes.com)
