Where are you from?
I am born in Hong Kong, then went to Vancouver since I was around 13, I grow up there, and worked for around 4 years in web industry there. Then just went back to Hong Kong for goods for about a year ago. How do you see the web industry in your country? I saw a big different between Vancouver and Hong Kong. People in Hong Kong don't really think websites, or web applications are as important, and they are not willing to pay. Look like the web guys here didn't even put times on the system and UI design, even the government's one, so sad, such big city...
http://www.gov.hk/en/residents/ <- HK governemnt
http://www.ckh.com.hk/eng/ <- this is supposedly the largest company in HK, however, their website.....

I was born in Nottingham, England. Lived in Norwich for a year, and now I live in Manchester. Maybe for more than a year, who knows!

I'm from Singapore, seems like all asia country don't really think that web design/applications are important. How much does a php developer earns in your country?
In Singapore, it is about $1600-$2400(1,084.23 USD to 1,626.34 USD)..
That is way too low.

USA born and raised straight from the slums. I got into web games like the one I own and for about 4 years they have kept me from getting into a lot of trouble. Of course I go into some trouble like back in October spent 2 weeks in Juvenal jail for beating up my sisters boyfriend. LOL it is funny because he is 10 years older than I am. But coding came to me as I got into owning games. I taught myself just about everything I know. I do not really care about earning money from coding since I am not the best I just think it is fun. A hobby of mine and something to maybe help me in my future.

Its not really bad in HK, if you hold a degree, a programmer would around HK$12000 to $18000 ( around US $1500 to $2300), depends on your experience. Of coz if you go up to SA or PM, thats different story.
