I may be the only one noticing this, because while I'm on the computer working I tend to always have TalkPHP open in a tab somewhere... but it seems around the same time Adam took a sabbatical, so did a lot of the posters. There may be a bug going around (the viral kind, not the programming kind), I don't know, but the activity here has been really low. Am I alone in thinking this?

I like TalkPHP a lot more than say, phpfreaks. It has a much tighter community feel, and just a laid back atmosphere that makes everything here a lot more casual and I think more helpful in the long run as well. I would never want Talk to turn into PF, but what about driving a weeee bit more traffic in? I learn a lot from helping people, I in turn require a lot of help, and I learn from other people who come in asking for or providing help.

So does anybody have any ideas? Run a TalkPHP google fundraiser? Little associate buttons to display on members sites? A whole slew of dummy pages on our sites with links back to Talk to abuse the google ranking system? Does anybody have any dirt on the Zend developers we could use for blackmail to get Talk a link from their site? *shrug* just a thought...

Seems that almost all the forums I used to visit are slowing down in activity. Not sure what the reason is. However most the posts on here are quality posts, which I prefer a lower traffic site with better posts then one with a bunch of crappy annoying posts.

Agreed. That's why I just offered up goofy suggestions, because no matter what happens I like the fact that the posts are quality over quantity. More quantity of quality wouldn't be a badddd thing though, and I definitely don't mean to suggest that we somehow flood the forums, just perhaps... aw hell I dunno.
