An editor that doesn't suck?
My needs really aren't that hard to fill. I prefer open source, but whatever works.
- Real time spell checking
- Spelling correction options (word, anyone?)
- SGML + XHTML strict real time validation (I wantz my code to be shiny and perfect)
- Some editable templates?
- Lightweight
- Compact
- A simple UI (oh god... not another learning curve to use a crappy editor)
Some javascript support wouldn't hurt either.
edit: oooh, wouldn't CSS and JS minification be a sweet software perk?
Really though, all I need are the first three... And maybe the last two. and the middle one... argh >.<
I've tried Amaya, Notepad++, nvew, and... uhh... yeah thats about it.
