Banned from TF
 

I got banned from TF for posting a lolcat pic in a awful thread, I am banned till the 21st. This is my first infraction.

Hehe, I also got warned for posting the 3rd lolcat (people getting onto the monorail moggie!) but nothing more 'serious' than a slap on the wrist over PM. I'm sorry that Jeff thought fit to temporarily ban you, especially over a little bit of offtopicness in a really useless topic anyway. It's only 24 hours though, right?

Think so, yeah. I had a hunch they wanted to ban me for something a while ago but couldnt find a reason, they just found one.

I dont want to sound like a conspiracy theorist though.

Looks like someone deleted my thread in which I posted that I was leaving TF for good. Thing is, TF is going downhill so much for me, that there just isnt any content of value there anymore for me. :-/

Wonder if I'm banned? :P

Anyways, you do deserve an infraction here because you posted in amazingly irrelevant forum. :-P

Why is TF so interesting? I just have registered myself an account, and I looked at the today post's and the current topics looks foolish, and a lot of people advertising there cheap services.

I'm always looking for good freelancers, like copywriters, designers, flash programmers.

Theres always the occasional guy who's willing to pay top-notch for his site.

Almost all my online business comes from TF, thats why I still go there. Why else would I be there? Almost everyone in general discussion hates me and I don't like them. I engage in social discussion so people see my name in the marketplace and it rings a bell.

Why isn't this in the lounge? And why isn't the forum censoring bulls**t? And why do we care what happened to you on another forum? Let's try to build this community, not use it as a soapbox to trash another.

It's in the Lounge now and there's no more bullshit in the title. No-one has to care what happened to VI in another forum, but VI is entitled to post whatever he likes on here in so long as it's not, for example, an attack on any one or more of our members or involving some other politically incorrect action not befitting online discussion.

Personally, I like TalkFreelance simply because it's something I've been around for many, many years now. I rarely partake in the (really crappy) marketplace activity and more so now than ever before the quality and quantity of freelance-related discussion is somewhat lacking ("going downhill"). The place is like Marmite, you either love it or hate it and there's not much of an in between.

If you have a problem with an ISP, other website that you're a member of, a utilities company, your cat... then feel free to make an equally useless topic here in the lounge. Who knows, people might post replies. :-)

I do happen to have a problem with my cat, and my ISP. both equally anoying and not working as they should.

I've been told since I was young to not judge a book by it's cover but DP's cover is just to ugly to not judge. Aside from the esthetical farce, there just seems to be to many people working way below what I consider the market norm.
