TalkPHP dying?
 

TalkPHP, seems dead. :/ Whenever I come here, theres barely any members on. -_-

Just a slow spot, every site gets them.

I know one website that doesn't, that's why I'm use to it. :P

Hey, I have my spots of activity, and spots of quietness. I don't give a reason for everything or get involved with everything. But I read the site several times daily no matter what.

I read the site almost everyday too, I just don't post on much. :-)

i am pretty much on everyday looking with an eagle eye :-D and yes i did mean eagle eye :-D

Same here. I like posting here so one way to keep it sort of alive is by doing that. I fairly do the same thing Rendair does, only he's more silent and 'below the radar'.

Ah well who cares! ;-) It's an awesome site and you mostly get enough responses. I will surely credit talkPHP in my articles.

A few days of slowness won't kill any site. It happens all the time unless you've got thousands of members.

I have just finished writing it and will put it up in the next couple days :-P

I try to be as active as possible really, putting aside my time on my projects and school i'm left with very little time to myself these days.

I've got good track record. Been here 1 day, 4 posts. That's 400%! heh.

It seems very active here compared to other forums i've been to before. A slow spot and then it will flourish once more! :)

Waiting on DevC++ Version of PHP Extensions -.-..

Doh! I'd forgotten about that. If I'm honest mate, it probably won't happen. The latest release of Dev-CPP is some 3/4 years old which makes it impractical for developing PHP extensions due to the changes that have occured between then and now. If you really don't want to install one of the free Microsoft Express editions of Visual Studio 2005/2008, then I would recommend taking a look at Code:Blocks instead which should have no problems building PHP extensions.

As for TalkPHP dying, that's the joy of user-created content sites like forums, as long as people keep joining and people keep posting, they never die, they just have slow periods like all business :-)

I try to keep up and posting in here, generally because its a nice community. However I've never been good at interacting with another community when im so much involved with another one.

For those interested (probably none) then I will try post off some of my work next week that I've been working on for some crits :)
