Default [WIP] Spacescape

Heya! I don't know if any of you are into GFX and photoshop.. but here's my latest project, which is a spacescape project.

Here's all the components in the project I've made so far:

Starfield

This is completely made in photoshop. Took about 1½ hour to make, and it's basicly just some noise, different filters and blending effects applied. Used erasing tool to delete some parts, and then the clone tool to make so called "fields" of stars, which makes it more realistic than if it were a consistant flow of noise all over the picture. You might also notice that there are kind of "smokes" in the background of some stars. That is called spacedust, and should be there Applied some lens flares for the bigger stars, and then just a color layer on top.

Landscape

This piece is made in a program called terragen. If you don't know what it is, it's a really messed up program if you don't know how to navigate, and it took me a good few hours to figure it out. Anyhow, in this program you can create landscapes, and when you're done, you render them. What that means is that you first have a 3D preview when you're creating the landscape, and when you think you're done, you render it, which will actually apply all the effects so it looks like a photo, as you see the water is wavy, and there's a reflect effect of the rocks in the water. This image took me around 4 hours to make, as I still didn't know the program very well. However, 2 hours went to render the image, as the original image of this piece is 18mb big. This is just a small version of it.

Spacescape

Description will be added later..

Will update thread when more has been done..

I like the images they look good...only thing i would say is the colour. It needs more varies of colours. Because star systems made up of different types of stars and the most abuntant type of stars are red dwarfs and also they come in different colours due to different tempatures so red, yellow/orange, blue.

Ye, I will add a color layer when the planets are made and in place so it would be some kind of multi-color gradient layer with some blending effects

Thanks for the info about that!
