Default Anybody use Adobe Flex?

Just curious?

I'm used to being the Flex Evangelist around forums so I figured why not ask...

Amazing software. I've gotten pretty pro at it, been working on stuff for a couple of years now. It's become a huge industry recently...

Try It!!!! Adobe - Flex 2 - Application Development, Web Application Development, Application Development Software, Application Development Tool

Alright, never used it myself, though I wouldn't need it to make powerful Web Applications. :P

I had it understood that Flex was essentially a beefed up flash (something to that effect)

Yeah it's based off flash basically. People have made some really incredible things with that software. I'd post links but I gotta run in a few so there are some examples on Adobe's site!

Which reminds me, Microsoft made their Flash API, it's called Silverlight. :P

Silverlight

The navbar shows how it functions, WOW COMPLETELY LIKE FLASH. :P I'm sure theres a 'perfect' reason they made that :/ Since Flash has been here since the Stone Age.

I've never used Flex, but have read a lot about it and I'm told that v2 is supposed to be pretty good.

One of these days I'll download the trial and have a play - see what it can do.

I'm working with a flex developer on an application right now. Flex is pretty tight - I haven't really dived into it yet but it looks pretty easy.

we are using Flex at work, not me personally, a couple of other developers and as far as I can tell, they love it. apparently it makes a lot of things easier and is more powerful.
