If you had 1 choice to pick from one of these consoles, which one would you pick?

Playstation 3
X-Box 360
Nintendo Wii

I would have to go with Xbox 360, being that I own one and have always liked what Microsoft brought to the table over any of the other 2 companies. The games are great, Xbox Live is amazing. Tons of great to stuff to go with the Xbox.

Although I can't say much, I haven't even touched the PS3 nor the Wii

If I could only have one, it would be the PS3 - it offers such a vast array of features, and the games coming out now are just amazing. Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank are simply awesome for example (and are exclusive to the PS3).

2008 will be a fantastic year too, Killzone 2, MGS4, LittleBigPlanet, Gran Turismo are just some of the AAA titles coming out exclusive to the PS3.

My second choice would be the 360 and my third choice would be the Wii. But I really do like all the consoles, they all add their own flavour and that's why we love them so much. This generation is truly fantastic. 8-)

I hear the Wii is just a bit of a novelty. And once that novelty wears off you're left with a stack consisting of some pretty poor games. I'd probably go for the XBox 360 these days - although I did used to love my Nintendo NES and Nintedo 64 when I was younger. Hours of fun with those 2 - especially Mario Kart 64 and Super Mario 64!

I'd go for the XBox 360, and probably will do soon as I've not had a games console since my Nintendo 64 3 to 4 years ago. It seems to have lots of good games - such as Test Drive Unlimited that I was looking forward to, although I hear it's a bit of a disappointment but the open roads really appeals to me. I've been waiting for a realistic car game for years - ever since NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 which was quite good, but far from perfect. The new NFS is supposed to incorporate real car handling and realistic crashes, too, and as the XBox 360 will no doubt have that - gimme, gimme, gimme!

Right now.. The PS3, why? Because Xbox 360 is last generation, and Microsoft keeps trying their best to keep the sales up with ridiculous hypes like "Limited Edition XBOX 360 Halo 3 Version!" - yea, right! I'm not going to spend 3 quarters the price of the PS3 on an old system, pfft!

PC for me, although im thinking of gettin a 360 for Rockband when it comes out. But all the games i play, i play on pc, better for lan's etc

However, about the PS3/360 "bits".. did you notice that the people posting about the PS3 could each name something different than the user before them? With the 360, everyone said XBox Live - how ironic!

When "Home" is finished, XBox Live envy will be out the door for sure ;-)

The Nintendo Wii for sure. Haven't got any of those since I am an FPS (1st person shooter) gamer and personally, FPS on a console is 100% sh*t. No offense to the Halo pro's here.

A PS3 would be awesome as well, since the new engine 'Frostbite' has been released on the system. Next to that, the Xbox 360 since Fable 2 will be released for it on Q2 2008. But my first choice goes to the Wii for it revolutionary control and games. (The Legend of Zelda; Twilight Princess).

i got annoyed with consoles long long ago, anything after the N64 in my mind is gutter garbage(mainly beause it was the last console i even remotely enjoyed owning, ocarina of time and mario 64 FTW!!).
Anyway its easier to play games on my PC, i dont like to get up once ive got myself settled you see.

i hate the wii with a passion, not only is the name a complete waste of time, its also just a repackaged game cube with a queer controller, how much of a pillock do you look waving that around in your front room, its almost as bad as that bloody eyetoy.

i think if i had to chose one, it would be the xBox360, mainly its a good balance of performance and price i also hear xBox live is cool plus i did quite like the original xbox.

Oh, come on guys, just admit it, Nintendo Wii totally rocks! 8-)

The argument that it would only be an upgraded Game Cube doesn't cut it. I mean you can even play Twilight Princess on Game Cube! Or look at the graphics of a game like Mario Galaxy.

Anyway, most important are not the graphics though. Gaming is about having fun. I definitely like the innovative path the big N is going.

And... alright, I'll admit something too. I may be a Nintendo fanboy, yup. :-P

I'm with Geert! You gotta love a console called Wii. :-P The Nintendo GameCube is a great gaming station for adventure/action games. Same goes for the Wii, although I haven't played on it - much.

bah nintendo fanboys eh?, i used to go to uni with one, i was CONSTANTLY arguing with him about nintendos (which in my opinion have been gobshite since the N64), he just wouldnt see that wii was awful, its a hateful and simply loathsome machine.

may i inquire y?, in my mind it does cut it, the GPU in the wii is reportedly 1.5x faster than the GC, which is piss poor for a 'next gen' console, i mean its barely an upgraded gamecube, its has barely more power than the original xbox, how is that 'next gen', even compairing it with xbox360 and ps3 (the 2 consoles that have acutally advanced in hardware) is absurd, so i think my argument still stands, its a slightly better GC with a queer remote.

It's great when you have raw processing power _and_ great games ;-)

I've got the 360 and I must say it's an excellent console (I'm by no means a gamer), I connected it to my laptop which has Vista Ultimate and connected it to my surround sound and it's quite an easy going experience playing a good fighting game (DOA 5 FTW) and listening to Three days grace.

Enough said.

I have to say it's got to be the 360!

I've had one for quite a while now and I have never looked back!
