Default Thinking about getting back into Python. So...

Was wondering if anyone knew of any resources on using sockets to login webpages. I'm wondering how to do this so I can create custom things for my sites from my desktop without worrying about visiting the site it self.

I'm not too up on the whole Python side of things, I must admit. I have tried the language, many years ago, and I admire how fast it is, and how easy it is to work with. Though I think the only way I'd use Python on a daily basis is if PHP didn't introduce namespaces in PHP 6 - as otherwise the global functions are going to get even more ridiculous and thus overwhelming.

You have to pick a language and stick to it, in my opinion, else you'll continue to go round and round in circles and be fluent in the basics of every programming language conceivable.

Ach! I'll have to try that. I was always under the impression that Python was a particularly quick language. Well, sod that. You've dashed all my hopes and dreams! No wonder YouTube is constantly throwing me random 500 internal server errors if the majority of it is coded in Python, and if it's as bad as you say it is.

Atleast it looks like a programming language, it's got one up on Perl.
