Ruby proponents trying to big it up
I was browsing Digg, as you do from time-to-time, I can't say I like it all that much as the stories that reach the front page tend to be "10 best ways to do...", people Digg them and then forget how to introduce them in to their life. However, I came across a Digg article that stated the following:

Is this some kind of huge revelation? If I'm not mistaken, Javascript and Ruby are technically in 2 completely different leagues. Javascript is a client-side programming language whereas Ruby is a server-side language. I don't mean to piss on the parade or anything like that, as I know PHP also has major issues that need resolving, but this seems like the most absurd comparison. Especially if you're wanting to induce a little awe in your readers.
Unsurprisingly, Java remains at the top and PHP stays where it was put last year. See here for the statistics.
