hjalmar is on a distinguished road
Default Mac OS X and GD

I'm kinda new to the whole mac deal, well atleast the more in-depth stuff. Hopefully someone here is on a mac and have sorted it out and could guide me in the right direction as the built in apache/php package doesn't come with gd installed.

After looking around for a bit i found out about entropy that some say would be the easiest to get going, but is there any downsides to that? or compile my own? where would i turn to get any information of doing so?

I don't mind if it would take me days to get it up and running just as long as it doesn't accidentally break when updating the system or whatnot.

Thanks,
hjalmar
