Haris and Zend Framework
Yeah, I am currently using CakePHP. I want to do a transition to Zend Framework. I just tried earlier but failed. I switched back to CakePHP. :|
I don't like how I need to follow CakePHP conventions and I want to get out of it. The quickstart guide at ZF for 1.5 is limited, no info about models, configuration variables that should be available everywhere and what not. |
Currently working on the quickstart. . .
Hi, I'm finishing up the QuickStart with what extra time I have. I apologize that it isn't finished yet; we really wanted to have it done for 1.5, but things started piling up and it got pushed back.
I will be adding a section on configuration and Zend_Db_Table soon. Please remember that Zend_Db_Table can serve as a model, but that ZF currently leaves the definition of the model entirely up to the user. This is consistent with the very different definition of 'model' in MVC across large sites with varying requirements. ,Wil |
Read a book on Zend Framework. It's what I am going to do while I code my first App using it.

Very cool introductions can be found at:
- Zend Framework Tutorials - Mitch’s World - ZEND FRAMEWORK TUTORIALS (both are screencasts) They helped me a lot as I persuaded myself to try it yesterday. |
