Default framework

I ran across this today
Adobe Spry framework for AJAX

the spry framework from adobe...

Been looking for a good start to use ajax on sites, i just haven't had the time to sit down and learn more javascript, so i can use it efficiently.

any suggestions on a good EASY to use and learn framework? i'm pretty adept with other aspects of web design, i just need to learn more than very basic javascript.

If you know PHP, you're half way to knowing basic javascript.
Just take a quick tour of w3school's JS tutorial and you should be good to go.
As for frameworks, spry is an option, but there is probably better support for other bug frameworks/libraries like prototype, jquery and mootools all of which support Ajax-y-things and much more.

Those are pretty cool. Also for the heck of it, take a look at xajax. I have used it a lot with a great degree of success. I am using the 0.25 stable version right now.
