Default Prevent Span in Forms (recaptcha?)

Aby guidance on preventing span in forms. I have a form that when submitted emails info to everyone on my website. Was thinking as the site gets a bit more popular i should put some protection in place. Anyone used recaptcha? And if so, is it good? Are there better ways to do this?

Many Thanks.

recaptcha works pretty good and is easy to implement. Lots of sites use it.

You could do some sort of moderation where you have to approve all messages before it emails everyone.

I've thought about that. That would probably solve all problems but is a hassle for me. Its a villa rental site and i dont want to approve all enquiries. A big recaptcha on the bottom of the form looks terrible as well. Was thinking i might just go with th hidden form text input field just now so that the bot fills it, submits form (because it isnt looking at the css) and i can just act like its been processed.
