Default Email problem

I'm trying to send an email from a website to an email address when someone fills out a form. The email address I'm trying to send to is hosted on google apps (info@clientsdomain.com).

It should be really simple. First I used the php mail function and there was no error, the email just never arrived. Next I tried using PHPMailer but still the same problem.

I switched back to the mail function and used my gmail address and it worked fine. I'm guessing I need to do something different somewhere to be able to send to an email address on google apps rather than a normal gmail account? Has anybody had any experience with this?

I would assume that Google only allows *.google*.com type domains in the "FROM: " header, this would be to prevent spam.

http://www.bluehostforum.com/showthread.php?t=6168

"When I originally moved to Google apps, I deleted the local email boxes as I figured they wouldn't be needed. Once I created email accounts for these apps (again, on the BH cpanel, *not* at Google apps) everything was fine again."

Sounds like a fix.

On my server I had already created the info@mydomain.com domain a while ago. I just checked the inbox from that and emails from the server are going to that inbox but when I email from gmail or hotmail it goes into the new google apps inbox.

Could it be that the MX records for the server just haven't updated yet while the ones gmail and hotmail use have?

I tried deleting the email account from the server and then resending an email but it still doesn't go into the google apps inbox.

Then contact Google. The issue seems to be on their end.
