What time do you find yourself programming the best? I'm not sure if anyone else has the same results but I always seem to program something better when it's late / early in the morning. I think it's better because everyone else is asleep and I just have time to get into the mood.

Does anyone else have similar habits?

Same here. When no one is available to disturb me on IM I am at my best.

when i cant do it

when im at work ill get into this mood and think yehhhh want to code way. do some when i get in but by the time ive got in from work ill be tired and wont be in the mood

but usually its at night and some nights i wont get out the chair for 2-4 hours and ill just work through until 3-4am until i cant take no more.

I have to program when I'm not at the office. This means at night or on weekends.

When I'm at my office the phone rings or someone walks in... I need peace and quiet w/ no distractions to really get good work done. Sometimes I go into the office after the wife and kids are in bed and work for 3-4 hours (or get up really early and go in). I get some great work done then. :)
