Making things happen in the future, without a second activation?

Hello!

I'd like to know if this is possible. For instance, we have an email. We don't want it to be sent right away, as the script is executed. We want it to be executed at that date and time the user provided.

So, it might be sent tomorrow or in three weeks. Without someone else activate the script, kind of just a delay on the email.

Is this possible?

Crontabs will be good for this. What I do is set up a single cron to execute a file called cron.php, then I use my own system to determine whether to execute a particular child cron.

Cronjobs is the way to go here. If you are on IIS, there are server tasks.
