facebook.....
If you go to the main page, www.facebook.com and look on the bottom between the words "Terms" and "Find Friends" there's a small little gray square box.
If you right click it, and view the image, you get a blank page but the URL says this: http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/images/spacer.gif?8:11 What in the heck does that mean? And why does it have ?8:11 in the URL? Thoughts anyone? I'd like to have that little square box too, I could probably just use that link, but I'd like to know the logic behind it? |
It just looks like a version number (different values have different modified dates returned) for that file. Note that the image is just 1x1 pixels and transparent. The grey box that you see is the image styled using CSS to make a width/height of 4 pixels and using a background image (using the sprite technique) for the colour.
