Default What is your computer equipment?

Thought I'd find out what our pro's around here use on a daily basis?

I am using my new HP laptop. It's the HDX 18t model. 1080p 18.4" screen with a 19" external monitor at 1440x900 resolution.

Currently I have VMware running with (2) WinXP's guest OS and (2) redhat linux server running. I love my laptop. It's a beast.

It currently has 4gigs RAM with 320gig drive and I am looking to add a 2nd internal SATA drive, maybe a 500gig internal.

I'm looking into possibly getting a bigger screen like a 24" screen(1080p)...

Anyways, that's I what I use on a daily basis..what do you guys use?

Intel Core2 Duo @ 2.20ghz 800mhz FSB
22" Dell Flatscreen running at 1680x1050
4gb DDR2 PC2-5300 RAM
Seagate 500gb SATA HDD

It's no Ferrari by any means but it's my happy lil daily driver. Running Apache 2.2.11, MySQL 5.1 and PHP 5.2.9 under Vista. FF3 and CS3 for the frontend, Dreamweaver to write the backend. Protected by AVG and common sense. Currently married to a cute lil IBM eMachine (my wife's).

I use a laptop also, and then just have an external monitor, keyboard and mouse.

AMD Turion 64x2
2GB of RAM
160GB SATA HDD
(Almost looking the same as the guy above me!)

Then I have the Logitech Mouse MX Revolution mouse, Logitech diNovo Edge keyboard, and the LG M228WD 24" monitor.

that sounds pretty good. Close to my specs. My laptop is an IntelC2D 2.4ghz so we are really close. I also have a Seagate HDD... Is it a desktop or laptop?

Yeah, my external monitor is 19" screen but it's only 1440x900 resolution. My laptop screen is the biggest on the market I beleive at 18.4"....but when it comes to web design & programming, I'd like to have a 22"-24" screen at 1080p...now that would be sweet!

Ohhh, I've always wanted that Logitech MX Revolution mouse! How is it? I'm using a logitech keyboard/mouse combo right now and I love Logitech products!!

I think your GPU is better than mine, mine is a nVidia 9600MT....I think from what I read, there's a big difference between the GT and MT. But I don't really use my PC for gaming anyways. It plays bluray movies perfectly so that's all I care about...

Will you be getting two SLI cards and connecting them together?

The Quad is nice, runs everything real nice. I use this computer as a test server for heavier applications as well as my casual use computer.
