Framework or no framework?
I am coding a social network for a client but I am not sure if I should use a framework like cakephp , pref. cakephp. or if i should just code it with out one.
|
These are some of the questions I ask myself when I run into this conflict:
1. Will the client maintain it or have someone to keep maintaining it and prefers a framework? 2. How complex is the coding going to get? 3. How familiar are you with cakePHP? Can you finish the project faster with or without that framework? 4. And as always, remember - KISS - Keep it simple stupid Good luck ;) |
i am going to maintain it , the coding is pretty extensive (facebook like system). I hope the framework makes things go faster cause I am doing alot of repetative coding.

If you are familiar with cakePHP and you like using frameworks, then yes, you will be better off in that route.
