Mpeg|avi|mov to flv using only php

Is there a possibility I can change these file formats to valid flv files using only php? not ffmpeg??????????????

No, not a chance. It's easy with FFMPEG, anyway. It's also easy to integrate FFMPEG with PHP. Just spend a little time writing a nice class for it. There is an existing class, something like Yoshi's FFMPEG Wrapper. I forget now!

Not without the express permission from your host, if that is what you mean. This means adding plugins/modules (or what ever you want to call it, Zend and alike) to the root of the Apache server.

Guess not, I ask them and they say they can transfer me to an FFMPEG server.
