Calendar script needs template system
 

I have a calendar script and want to add a template system for it, how can i do it?

It all depends on how you coded it. You will need to add a good amount of code for a decent template system. I've never looked into it but I heard smarty was good for that?

I will suggest you the use Template engine :
SMARTY http://smarty.php.net/
You might need to modify your scripts if you want to use it.

Nah, I suggest creating your own rather than use smarty. Template engines are not that hard to code. But if you are a beginner I suggest giving smarty a shot, or start looking for some tutorials online about template systems.
