Default Multiple File Uploads

I want to make a page where a user can upload lots of images at once, what is the best way to do it?

I found a jQuery plugin (Multiple File Upload plugin for jQuery - v 1.29) that is perfect, but I'm not sure how to use it. Would I just treat it as a single file upload to upload all the images or use a loop or what?

You should try FancyUpload it allows you to select more files at once.

Hello there.

Canīt belive nobody mention this:
PHP: Uploading multiple files - Manual

Itīs a snap uploading multiple files in PHP.

Currently you canīt use AJAX call to transport the upload data trough.
But there are methods to monitor the "filesize" of the temp file while
uploading with PHP.

Though iīve heard that with FF3 you are going to be able to upload with AJAX calls. there are some methods that are going to be added to the file form element. And with JavaScript this data is going to be accessible.

Thats what iīve heard anyway. If itīs true, i will be very happy.

Good Luck.

Doh! If I'd had that a few days ago it would have been perfect.

I'm using a java file uploader with a php backend now.
