Default A more flexible CMS?

Okay, so far I have no idea how to make a CMS more flexible. I just call out all the text in the BODY from the table column `body`, and output it, and rely on the forms in the admin area to do the trick with formatting. Yet, what if I want to change the look? :/

What do you do?
