Default Php-gtk

Has anyone used PHP-GTK? And if so, what are your thoughts on it? Is it a worthwhile solution for client-side apps?

I tried it a couple of times. But I find the API very complex to begin with and I think you would be better off doing client applications with C++ or .NET.

I didn't know that it existed an association between php and gtk. Funny. But, like Kalle, I would recomand you to use others languages and another library to make a GUI. gtk is very heavy even in C.

With C++, you have Qt which is very powerful and more easy to use than gtk :)

I've used PHP-GTK to make a couple of quick front ends for shell php scripts. To be honest its generally hard work.

I got fed up with it an made all the front ends into ajax web apps.

Agreed with everyone above - I've played about with php-gtk a bit and it's just not worth trying to use it to write desktop apps. I found the rendering to be slow and cludgy, also the windows it produces don't look great (try resizing one
