Well there's a simple solution if people want to insulate themselves. Turn off the computer, tuck yourself in bed, and close your eyes! :D

I tried that today but it didn't work. The in-laws called on the phone and somebody knocked on the door asking my opinion on the local elections.

I'll use the money I save to buy beer, which tides me over while waiting the extra time. ;)

Completely logical in the context of a non-business setting. But in a business setting time is extremely important. I've never lost a cent to EE. While I do pay a monthly fee, I get more money in return because I am able to finish my projects quickly. It is without a doubt a business investment.
Out of interest, what beer do you drink? I'm a big fan of Sam Adams, if I got to go cheap its Budweiser.

Let's see how many people scratch their heads, and how many of you actually recognize a good beer: Kokanee. Problem is finding it south of the border is next to impossible if not just extremely improbable.
It's probably a matter of the technologies that we work in too; I work entirely on LAMP/LEMP and related technology stacks, whilst you iirc work mostly in .NET and Microsoft based technologies, and the avenues of information open to both can take wildly different curves. There has been many times where I've gone looking for an answer to something and EE comes up on page one of Google (and often times I click on it before I realize its EE) so I can't stay I haven't considered it, but I usually find it elsewhere with a little more searching.

That is some watery beer. Ugh. Try a good bourbon barrel stout or an oatmeal stout next time.
Its easy to get answers off EE sometimes (unless they have fixed the bug), just read the page code.

You might as well use a spoon if you drink stout, too thick. I prefer lagers, and until you've had a good Canadian beer, you haven't had a good beer.

Man... I hope the programming advice you give is better than your choice in beer.

Have a brand you prefer? I'll try one next time I buy beer.

I like Jefferson's Reserve Bourbon Barrel Stout, and Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout. But like any beer, its a matter of personal taste. That bourbon barrel stout is seasoned in bourbon barrels for 60 days to give it the distinctive flavor. Its might tasty stuff and I don't even like bourbon.

Actually if you like stout, which it appears you do (not sure what gave that away), you need to travel to a place called Nelson in British Columbia. The local brewery there specializes in stout, and as I've mentioned I hate the stuff, but it gets pretty rave reviews from those who do, so you might like it.

The liquor store I called has Samuel Smith's, I'll let you know what I think when I get it (probably later this week).

I'm currently drinking a Samuel Smith and it is amazing. This is probably one of the best I've had, I love the distinct flavor it has.

Maybe we should open a separate beer thread, this is kind of a fun theme.
I'm glad you've enjoyed it, which one did you try?

Or we could follow the logical course of discussion as it has been progressing, since this was never a PHP related subject to begin with, and only moderate conversations when they actually require moderation!
I'm down with that idea, whoever suggested it is a genius.

Its good organization. He was helping us, not bossing us around.

I can't remember the last time I was standing around talking about something, and when the conversation changed somebody came over and told us to go stand somewhere else. If organization kills a discussion, maybe the organization wasn't necessary.
