PHP has been able make desktop apps for years, specifically tying into GTK+.

I doubt we have the demand to necessitate a forum just for this topic, feel free to post desktop app topics in any suitable regular forum.

yep for years and you can even disable the CGI implementation as well GTK is not the only viable GUI framework as i recently found wxphp witch is popular for python uses widgets....

But I know Flex/Flash builder can accept and execute PHP. So you could make an air app for the desktop pretty easily being a PHP developer.

lol this thread is like 2-3 yrs old. so are those sections gonna be created? i did see an app once upon a time that let you create mac,windows, linux applications using only php. but now that i think of it. its best to use a language that was created for software development.
