Smile What do people think TalkPHP needs next?

Now that we've implemented the Mentor's Board, what would people like to see next happen with TalkPHP? I'm interested in all sorts of ideas, and will be willing to consider all reasonable ideas!

I'd be really pleased to hear what people have to say! I feel we have a lovely friendly community here, and would love to see it become even better for us all!

ok so i was think of opening a job's board for us developers.
and it would work like this,

example->startThread->with like a title, James Foster - PHPdeveloper seeking job

and then he would post a cv in hes thread and then someone that needs a php developer checks with a google search James foster + talkphp + seeking job he would then have allot,

of people finding him easier, and sure there is much easier ways to get work but hey he or she hangs out here allot so why not keep hes cv here as well ?

i have a detailed text file with the whole idea set up if this idea is something you would like then we can fix that as well :)

Since the first time i have been hanging around here, it feels good and really a wonderful community to hang on with. I have an idea but i dont know if everybody agrees on this though i will give it a try.

As what i can observed in the forum, we already have implemented the mentors section, as well as other useful section to learn and to be more interactive together to boost forum activity.

I think its better to have a forum or a link on which all scripts that we derived will be put there, like a simple mail script, simple and secure login script, etc. And those scripts will be trademark by the maker as well as talkphp.com. We can also put enhance modified script with great functionalities to that section. Scripts that will be placed in that forum/link will be first examine and voted by mod/staff and admins.

In every end of the script, we could also put a link with a discussion about that script if there is any(discussion/article) already exist.

So far, thats my idea and im hoping to hear any comments about it.

Regards,
t3st

I like both ideas! having a central place to see the various scripts that some people have worked on and shared.
Also the job board, but on that one I would say trying not to blow it up by making it so complicated. plus to me it would make more sense it the job is posted instead somebody posting that needs a job. I guess there could be to sections for that, the job seekers and the developers seekers.
