Default Quick Reply

Why does the quick reply keep the text in it after submiting a post? I have never had a vbulletin system act this way before.

On a side note (well actually related), I keep double posting by accident when I go to edit a post. (mostly due to not paying attention).

The text shows up in both the edit box and the quick reply and when I am in a hurry or not paying attention I end up editing the quick reply and making another new post.
