Incentive for articles
 

Hey

While the support here is amazing, one thing I really did love was to read the articles you have here! Articles written by people like WildHoney, Alan and Rendair really did grab my attention!

But in recent times no articles have been written. The last one was written nearly a month ago!

Maybe, if there was an incentive, people would like to write articles?

Don't get me wrong; i love TalkPHP, but i think it could be better than it is!

Do you have any particular ideas beyond giving a plain monetary reward? I think I'd rather prefer people submitting articles because they want to submit them, rather than simply for any reward at the end of the process.

You should submit articles for the love of helping your fellow man :-)

As for the lack of articles, Ive got 4 half-written articles sat here at the moment but zero time to finish them as the run up to April is our busiest time of the year :-(

Rest assured though, at some point in the next few weeks I'll have 4 more articles submitted :-)

As Salathe said, if you have a good incentive in mind, then I'll definitely put that to vote amongst the administrators and moderators.

Perhaps we could vote at the end of every month for best article, whoever wins the vote gets a free text link the next month.

What about for those of us who don't have anything to advertise? :-)

The monthly "best article" writer gets a pat on the back from me? :)

I have a couple articles on me computer i have written, but just havnt had time to submit them and sort them all out lol.

As for getting rewards for it i dont see a problem with that, but i personally don't write them for rewards, but to get my points across and to help people in what ever way i can. :-D
