Suggestion

I have a big suggestion for TalkPHP.

TalkPHP isn't really active right now as you can see, lack of posts, etc.. I think you guys should add more sections related to PHP like a forum where people can talk about PHP Scripts, a forum where people can advertise their PHP powered websites and other PHP related forums to increase the activity throughout the forum :)

You should also have a Community category consisting of the following forums:

Community:

General Chat
Talk about anything in General

Off Topic
Talk about anything not related to PHP

TalkPHP is a really good name and i just thought i should try and help this forum by giving my suggestion.

Regards.

I've given all of these some thought. The one that I've actually been considering lately is an introduction forum. I want to keep the number of forums to a minimum right now. The more forums you have the less active the site looks. Once the site starts to grow a bit more we'll expand the number of forums.

I agree with Veolus that there should be more forums added to the forum ebcause it's very basic now. The skin is looking great though!

Thanks Petter for the feedback. I think the site will grow to the forums everyone wants as soon as traffic picks up.

Thanks for your suggestions.

There's a lot to love about it, including the nice template and easy navigation throughout the website. Definately loving it already! :)

Thanks for the kind words! ;)

No, I would not add theese, Its just another place for people to spam really, This Forum has a purpore, PHP i think it suits it well at the moment.

Maybe a few more php categories and it will be fine.

I agree, more php categories would be good. Maybe there could be a apache and mysql category also? Since they both can be related to php.

I would also like to advice few categories/forums for it....

PHP - Code
PHP - Security
Databases

What do you think ?

CreativeLogic 04-17-2005 07:45 PM

We're still going to wait until we get more traffic and people posting before we expand the number of forums.

jaswinder_rana 06-01-2005 06:05 PM

I agree with gigapromoters
and
a direct link to PHP forum. I am wondering if there's PHP forum to ask questions or not(coz i din't see it). I found PHP questions being asked in General. I think it should be renamed to PHP to reflect what its for and then add more forums to distinguish it

just my 2 cents :D

CreativeLogic 06-01-2005 06:34 PM

I still think once we get more threads will should expand the categories. Without this you will have a forum that looks dead and inactive.

jaswinder_rana 06-01-2005 06:41 PM

i agree to that point too.
and to make my self clear, i am not saying all this should be done now. but, these are some suggestions, which you can keep in mind for future. and again, i am not a wizard in web design or something, so you know better than me.

thanks

I wouldn't go that far.

But I will keep all these suggestions in mind. Once the activity picks up a little more we should have more forums being added in as needed.
