There currently is a tutorial section, although we are having some difficulties with adding new ones. The tutorial section can be found by going to the section titles "Tutorials" It's a forum category and the button looks a bit different.

I truly believe Video Tutorials would be the best benefit for anybody who wants to learn php. Obviously doing is the best way to learn -- but some people feel like they're missing something when just reading.
Seeing Videos of someone creating a backend for a CMS or a frontend of a Blog would gain a huge load of traffic to the site... especially if you had to be a member to view the videos and even "only active members" were allowed to see certain videos.
Just an idea.

Very good idea clenard. In fact I am going to research this and possibly put it into use. Would be great if we had a few users who would be interested in doing this, as I have no webcam but i'm sure purchasing one wouldn't be so hard.
Great idea and thanks.

Hey Mike,
All you need is a Screen Capture Program such as Camtasia.
It's easy to use and all you need is a Microphone to record the screen (so you can talk through the processes).
It works the same way as any VTC.com or Lynda.com videos, which is what they use as well :)
Hope that helps!
Clint

Just downloaded the program and feel this will work out wonderfully. I have actually captured a small tutorial on variables. Hoping I can find my mic somewhere around this house.

Nah, the theme is awesome!
However, the video thing is a great idea! That would really make this site the BEST in the PHP category.
I mean.. sampsonresume.com got video tutorials, but not a very active forum.. so if you're looking for help, it's not the place.
And talkphp.com is awesome with its forum members, who are very skilled with PHP and very helpful, but they don't got video tutorials..
So adding video tutorials for this site, would really make this site the BEST!

I know you wrote it to the admins, but I commented your post, because the simple fact that the admins have to add all the template modifications in all their templates, which.. sucks.. for them

How about something besides just "say thanks", what about having different types of thanks, i.e. maybe a statement, for a small thanks, a function for a bigger thanks, and a class for a thanks a million dude!
