Default Issues

Use this thread to submit issues with the website, I'll list them all here and cross them off as we resolve them:

1. Double paging links on some pages
2. Reputation popup doesn't show properly
3. Table header on members page is a little messed up
4. Thanks in postbit is incorrect, shows how many you've given, not how many you've received.

As you submit issues I will add them to this list.

I guess we could yes, as long as it doesn't look too full.

That'll be because you've not given any thanks out you tight git! We're going to modify that so it shows how many you've received, and maybe also how many you've given out.

It does definitely need to be fixed though as it's really confusing. We thought it was broke to start with. Surely there must be a post that you think deserves a thanks? Stop holding onto your thanks!

Ofcourse you can have both!
Something like:
Quote:
Recieved thanks: 14
Given thanks: 5
And the recieved thanks amount can be a link to all the posts where the user is thanked. And the given thanks could be a link to all the posts where the user has given thanks.

I'm guessing that the bright orange gear wheels mean that there are unread threads? I've noticed that after reading the unread thread, the gear wheels icon remain bright orange, and only changes once i enter the sub-forum again. Could it just be me?

No, it's for me too. I don't think it's a bug.

You have to enter the forum in order to set the thread as read.. and that's the only way to set the forum as read ;)

Are you sure you're not just pressing the back button after looking at a post? I do the same thing sometimes, really annoys me.

Yup, I'm sure... Let me give you a detailed example, just to clarify a bit.

Now, the Feedback sub-forum is highlighted as there is an unread post, quite aptly being this one. So I make my way through to the unread thread. Ok, now after reading I do one of two things.

1) I click the forum button at the top to go back to the forum main page - the Feedback forum icon remains highlighted. I click through again just to check, but no new threads. I click the forum link above again, and now it shows the forum is read.

2) If I go back through to the sub-forum landing through the breadcrumb above first before going back to the main forum page, then it shows as read.

Also, I've found that if I view the different unread threads in their own tabs, it doesn't mark them as read after refreshing the main landing page.

It sounds like a caching prob to me, but no other site does it.

In all honesty it has often annoyed me, but I figured it was down to vBulletin, me or my browser. I'm guessing nobody has noticed this on other forums? Another problem I have here is that the problem existed in both the old version of TalkPHP and the new version (this version), which implies that the exact same bug has been introduced in two very different integrations of TalkPHP (in two different versions of vBulletin) - this, in itself seems very unlikely. It's all very strange.

If anyone can help me out on this fix I would make it worth their while (grabs the lube).
